Multipliers See More: Pushing Your Team Beyond Limits

"Multipliers aren’t 'feel-good' managers. They look into people and find capability, and they want to access all of it."

📖 Multipliers – Liz Wiseman

Multipliers See What Others Don’t

As leaders, our role is not just to acknowledge, encourage, and support—it's to push, challenge, and develop. A great leader doesn’t just see people for where they are; they see them for where they could be. They recognize potential beyond job descriptions, and they refuse to let their team settle for mediocrity.

A great coach sees more in their players than the players see in themselves. That’s exactly what a Multiplier does. They look deeper. They don’t just focus on how people are performing now—they focus on what they are capable of becoming.

Too many leaders believe their job is to keep people comfortable, but the truth is, growth doesn’t happen inside comfort zones. If you’re leading a team and not stretching them beyond their current limits, you’re holding them back more than you’re helping.

Empowered Teams Are Built Through Challenge

The best teams aren’t the ones where everyone just executes their assigned roles. The best teams are challenged to step up, evolve, and take ownership. As a leader, you need to:

✅ Push your people beyond their role and responsibilities.
✅ Encourage risk-taking and innovation.
✅ Refuse to let people settle for “good enough.”

It’s easy to run a team where everyone just does their job. But Multipliers lead teams that become better, stronger, and more capable every single day. It’s about getting your team to attack their development, not just show up and execute tasks.

How to Lead Like a Multiplier

🔹 See the greatness in others before they see it in themselves. A great leader speaks belief into their people and holds them to a higher standard.

🔹 Challenge your team with bigger responsibilities. Don’t wait for people to ask for opportunities—give them opportunities that force them to grow.

🔹 Get people out of their comfort zones. Comfort = stagnation. Make sure your people feel stretched and accountable for their own improvement.

🔹 Encourage a relentless mindset. This isn’t about feeling good—this is about becoming great. Create an environment where people are constantly improving, adapting, and stepping up.

🔥 Three Actions to Take Today:

✔ Identify one person on your team who is playing it safe. Challenge them with something bigger.
✔ Have a conversation with a team member about their long-term potential. Show them what you see in them.
✔ Push someone out of their comfort zone today. Growth happens in discomfort.
